Chronical of a Death Fortold
by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
review by Kevin Y.
The narrator (name not mentioned) goes back to his old homeown to learn about a murder that happened 20 years later. He interviews people from the town slowly figuring our what happened the night Santiago Nasar was murdered.
He finds out that a lot of people know Santiago was going to be killed, but no one told him. The 2 people who killed him were Pedro and Pablo Vicerio, the twin brothers of Angela Vicerio. The reason they killed him was because Angela says that Santiago had taken her virginity.
But in the end she told a lie and Santiago was found to be killed for nothing. The story takes place somewhere by the Caribbean Sea. The characters seem to be Arab and it sounds like the story took place in the past.

Library Events
What's going on at the library?!
Well, the school year has started and we are BUSY.
Here's a line-up of what goes on every week:
Wednesdays
Each week we switch of between Game Day and a movie.
Game Day will be from 3-5:30pm and we'll have an Xbox360, Wii, and regular Xbox, a giant projector and a 60 inch flat screen TV! We'll also have free snacks and board games. Grades 3-12.
Movies will start at 4pm with some tasty popcorn and drinks! Grades 3-12
Thursays
Every Thursday we will have Crafty Youth.
Crafty Youth will be from 4-5pm and there will be yummy food, drinks and of course crafts such as painting, building, origami, abstract art, ice cream making and more! All supplies will be provided. Grades 3-12 only.Fridays
Anime Club!
Come to Anime Club every Friday from 3-4:30pm and watch some awesome ANIME!!! We will share fan art(art that YOU have drawn or traced), enjoy snacks like fruit and chips, and hang out with friends. Grades 6-12.Also, think of what costume you want to be for Halloween, we'll be having a cosplay party on October 29th!

Hey you anime and manga lovers...Anime Club is back!
Anime Club will be this Friday, September 3rd from 3-4:30ish.
Instead of ages 12-18, it is now Grades 6-12.
We'll have watermelon, chips, oranges, drinks and much more to snack on while watching the movie!
