Library Events

What's going on at the library?!

Well, the school year has started and we are BUSY.

Here's a line-up of what goes on every week:

Wednesdays
Each week we switch of between Game Day and a movie.
Game Day will be from 3-5:30pm and we'll have an Xbox360, Wii, and regular Xbox, a giant projector and a 60 inch flat screen TV! We'll also have free snacks and board games. Grades 3-12.

Movies will start at 4pm with some tasty popcorn and drinks! Grades 3-12

Thursays
Every Thursday we will have Crafty Youth. Crafty Youth will be from 4-5pm and there will be yummy food, drinks and of course crafts such as painting, building, origami, abstract art, ice cream making and more! All supplies will be provided. Grades 3-12 only.

Fridays
Anime Club! Come to Anime Club every Friday from 3-4:30pm and watch some awesome ANIME!!! We will share fan art(art that YOU have drawn or traced), enjoy snacks like fruit and chips, and hang out with friends. Grades 6-12.
Also, think of what costume you want to be for Halloween, we'll be having a cosplay party on October 29th!

Anime Club Feature

Hey you anime and manga lovers...Anime Club is back!
Anime Club will be this Friday, September 3rd from 3-4:30ish.
Instead of ages 12-18, it is now Grades 6-12.
We'll have watermelon, chips, oranges, drinks and much more to snack on while watching the movie!

Now, without further ado, here is the new Anime Club Feature we're going to do every week...

What is your favorite anime to watch?
Currently, Yu Yu Hakusho, but it changes all the time.

What is your favorite manga to read?
Kare Kano (but again, just currently).

How long have you been into manga and anime?
It's been 3 years...wow!

What do you like most about Anime Club?
The opportunity to watch anime and talk with people who share your interests.

What do you like to do in you spare time, besides watch anime/read manga?
I like to read novels, surf the Internet, listen to music, and hang out with my friends.

If you could be any fruit, what would you be?
Hmm...a peach.

What school do you go to?
Coconino High School

He survives by eating peoples suggestions,
comments, secrets and
anything else you throw in there.
So feed him when you go to a program!

Ok, so we're going to try a new weekly segment for the East Flag Library blog, and that will be featuring the Anime Club Teens!!

Sew, play with my dog, hike, play disc golf, cook...
Hike, bike, run, river raft, walk my dog, go with the flow...

Watermelon, because it's delicious and summery.
Pomegranate because I may not look it, but I'm full of red rubies.

Gaming!!

Show your skills at the Wii, Xbox 360 and Xbox
at Gaming Day this Wednesday, July 21st from 2-5pm!
Ages 6-18

We will have the Wii set up on the big projector with games like Super Smash Bros Brawl, Mariokart and Guitar Hero!

The Xbox 360 will be on the brand new 60" flat screen TV with Rock Band hooked up!

The regular Xbox will be hooked up to the normal TV with DDR and car racing games!

All Ages Movie and Bingo!

Don't have anything to do tomorrow?

Come and watch The Waterhorse: Legend of the Deep at 2pm
and then play family BINGO from 6-7!
Prizes, like movie tickets, will be awarded! Snacks provided as well.

If nautical nonsense is something you wish,
then enjoy a morning of SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS!
